Terms of Use

Date of Last Revision: 09/10/2007.

Introduction

We built HaveMyShift.com to help connect the people who want to pick up shifts within their company with the people who want to give away shifts. We understand that you may not want everyone in the world to have the information you share on HaveMyShift.com; that is why we give you control over the information you enter.

By using or accessing HaveMyShift.com, you are accepting the Acceptable Use Policy and the Terms of Use.

HaveMyShift.com may modify this Agreement from time to time and such modification shall be effective upon posting by HaveMyShift.com on this page. You agree to be bound to any changes to this Agreement when you use the Service after any such modification is posted.

Information stored on HaveMyShift.com’s servers may be subject to disclosure in a legal proceeding or disciplinary action if chosen by the hiring company. Users should not use HaveMyShift.com’s system resources to send, receive, or store any information that they wish to keep private.

Notice

All users should be aware that all information stored, processed, or communicated by electronic means using HaveMyShift.com, whether workrelated or personal, are not private. Where allowable, HaveMyShift.com reserves the right to monitor or review electronic information to analyze the use of its communications system, obtain business information, monitor performance, for investigative purposes and use for other business reasons. Additionally, HaveMyShift.com reserves the right to disclose the information collected during such monitoring to any third parties deemed necessary, and will cooperate with any authorized lawenforcement agencies as appropriate.

'Extra Money' on shifts

Any additional money that is posted with the shift is meant to be a promise made by the poster to pay upon successful coverage of the shift. No actual money is exchanged through HaveMyShift.com. HaveMyShift.com is not liable for any monetary promises that are not upheld before or after the shift exchange has taken place.

Donations

All donations that are made to HaveMyShift.com are entirely voluntary and are handled through the PayPal website (a third party). Please refer to PayPal’s privacy policy and terms of use located on their website http://www.paypal.com.

Handling Secret and Private Information Records

It is the responsibility of the individual in possession of all hardcopies of documents containing private or secret information to ensure that the hardcopies are secured or disposed of properly.

  • Making or printing additional copies of private or secret information requires prior approval from the information owner.
  • Printers, copiers and fax machines are not to be left unattended when private or secret information is being reproduced.
  • Access to hardcopies of secret information should be kept to a minimum and limited to authorized personnel only. Unauthorized individuals are to be escorted while in a room or area containing secret information.
  • Hardcopies containing secret information are to be stored in a secured room or area or in locked file cabinets.
  • All paper waste generated in the course of handwriting, copying, printing, and faxing private or secret information is to be destroyed.
  • When documents, including working drafts and/or notes, containing private or secret information are no longer required and the retention period for such documents has been met, documents will be destroyed.

Verbal Communication

Verbal communication discussing private or secret information should be conducted in isolated locations that are not susceptible to eavesdropping. This requirement extends to all telephone conversations. Information classified as private or secret must never be entered into a voicemail, automated answering systems, or disclosed to an answering service.

Passwords

A poorly chosen password may result in compromising the security of HaveMyShift.com’s systems. Although HaveMyShift securely encrypts your password, an easily guessable password may grant unauthorized access to your critical information, so active management of passwords is required.

Password Protection

Because passwords provide access to HaveMyShift.com, all passwords are to be treated as private information and are to be protected as follows:

  • Do not write passwords down unless they can be stored securely (encrypted, kept in a locked drawer or cabinet, kept in a password protected file, etc.)
  • Do not talk about a password in front of others.
  • Do not share passwords over any medium with anyone, including supervisors, managers, administrative assistants, or family members. If someone requests your password(s), refer them to this document and immediately notify the system administrators at havemyshift@gmail.com.
  • Do not configure a system or application for automated entry of a password.
  • When using an Internet browser based application (Internet or Intranet) do not check boxes that ask if you want to remember your password.
  • The practice of using the same password for all systems to which a user has access is discouraged.

Acceptable Software Usage

Installation of unauthorized software on any component of HaveMyShift.com’s systems has the potential for creating problems affecting system stability and availability, support, and potentially introduces legal issues related to inadequate licensing. Accordingly, installation or execution of unauthorized applications including privately owned software, personal Internet service provider’s connectivity software, games, shareware, freeware, browser “plugins” or opensource applications including those unsolicited applications received as email attachments are prohibited.

It is forbidden to copy software provided by HaveMyShift.com to any storage media, or to transfer software to others, unless authorized for internal installation or backup.

Without prior authorization from Stephen Wooten and HaveMyShift.com, users may not use HaveMyShift.com’s systems to obtain, possess, trade or use hardware or software utilities that could be used to evaluate communications. Examples of such tools include those that defeat software copy protection, discover passwords, identify and/or exploit security vulnerabilities, recover related data, or decrypt encrypted files.
